Hi Alexendoo,· Did you make any software or hardware changes on the machine prior to this issue?· What is the make and model of your machine?· Does the computer restarts while using any particular application or at any instance?· How frequently you face this issue on your computer? In order to diagnose the issue, let’s follow these methods.Method 1If you have any unnecessary external devices connected to the machine, unplug them & check if the issue persists.Method 2You may configure the computer in clean boot and check if the issue persists. It will start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps to eliminate software conflicts. The following link has steps showing how to perform clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: Please ensure that the computer is set to start as usual by following the section ‘Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state’ from the article: How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Hope the information helps. What is your motherboard make and model? Please post a copy of the dump file to your Sky Drive as a shared file and a link here. Have you looked in Event Viewer? To access the System log select Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, from the list in the left side of the window select Windows Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, right click and select Filter Current Log. Check the box before Error and click on OK and you see only Error reports. Click on the Date and Time Header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the latest Report at the top. A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double click on the error you want to copy. Click on the Copy button to place a copy on your Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste into the body of the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer. Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell
